Additionally, there will be three themed, curator-led guided tours. Join us on Thursday 11 November at 5pm on a tour through the ‘Kunstpark’ by Fair Manager Hannah Weber-Heidenfels and on Friday 12 November on a ‘Emerging Artist 2021’ tour at 4pm and a ‘Kunst unter 500€’ tour at 5pm by Fair Director Oliver Lähndorf.
Emerging artists: This year we’re delighted to present a solo Emerging Artist show, Hamburg based artist Arnaldo González. Having grown up in Caracas, Venezuela, Arnaldo went on to study Fine Arts in Venezuela and Germany. Since 2014 he has been living and working in Hamburg. Arnaldo is known for his large-scale works including drawing, painting and video installations, in which he explores migration, identity and psycho-geographic space. The inner and outer diaspora is at the center of his works. One not to be missed.
Kunstpark: For the 2021 edition of Affordable Art Fair Hamburg, we’ll be expanding the size of the fair, in line with our Safe Fair Policies, to a huge 9,000m² venue! Within our new larger space, for the first time we’ll be installing a 1,800m² big curated ‘Kunstpark’. With art, trees, benches and a cafébar, we want to bring you a new space to meet inside the venue to relax and discover a varied range of artworks including installations, sculptures, conceptual art, and augmented reality – all of which you would not normally expect to see at the fair.
Fair overview: “From 11 – 14 November 2021, Affordable Art Fair returns to Hamburg with a range of local, national and international galleries. Browse and buy from 1000s of contemporary artworks, all priced under €7,500. Our 9th edition will be sure to help you love art at home!
